Michael is an incoming fourth-year student at UTM, double-majoring in criminology, law & society and political science with a minor in sociology. This summer, he took part in "POL300Y0: Modern Greek Culture: People, Tradition, Language and Cuisine" in Athens. This course offered him a unique opportunity to connect his academic interests in international relations, politics, and sociological identity with lived experiences in Greece—the birthplace of democracy. As well, on a personal level, this course resonated with Michael’s passion for travelling and immersing himself in diverse perspectives of local communities, cultures, cuisine, and lifestyles.
