Summer Abroad & EDIA

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) Resources

The Summer Abroad program is committed to the principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. At Summer Abroad, we support all participants in your study abroad experience. We aim to ensure that students are able to participate as they see fit in the learning opportunities and activities that are offered by the Summer Abroad program, and to maximize their potential as members of the program community. In striving to best support EDIA and foster excellence, we are also working to reduce and mitigate any barriers that prevent full participation in the Summer Abroad program.

Our priority at the Summer Abroad program is to work with you and engage relevant partners across U of T to support you on your learning experience abroad. As you review your Summer Abroad options, we strongly encourage you to use the information here to determine the program and location that best suits your interests and needs.

Students are strongly encouraged to contact the Summer Abroad Office as early as possible to discuss which sites might best suit their needs, so that we may provide the best possible student experience. To contact the Diversity & Inclusion Program Coordinator, please e-mail summerabroad.edi@utoronto.ca. You are also able to book an online appointment with the Diversity & Inclusion Program Coordinator to learn more about possible Summer Abroad opportunities.
