Refunds/Withdrawal

All cancellations are subject to the policy and deadlines below. Cancellations and withdrawals must be made in writing (by email) to the Professional and International Programs office.

The University of Toronto is not responsible for costs paid to other service providers, including (but not limited to) passport fees, vaccinations, accommodation, and transportation costs such as airfare.

Applications to all Programs

  • Students who apply to a Summer Abroad program and are not admitted will receive a full refund of their $200 application fee.
  • Students who are offered a Summer Abroad award and choose to withdraw from their program will not be refunded any portion of the application fee.

Applying to Two Programs

  • Students who apply to two Summer Abroad programs must submit the application and $200 application fee for each program. If both applications are successful, the student will have one week to withdraw from the other program and receive a refund of the application fee. If the student chooses to withdraw beyond the one-week window, the $200 application fee will not be refunded.

Applying for Awards Administered through the Woodsworth Summer Abroad Office

  • If your award application is unsuccessful and you wish to withdraw your program application, you will receive a full refund of the $200 application fee.
  • If you are offered an award and you choose to withdraw your program application, you will not be refunded any portion of the $200 application fee.
