Entry Requirements
All students are responsible for making sure that their necessary travel documents are in order for them to enter Mexico as visitors. Information on the entry requirements for Mexico is available visiting the Global Affairs Canada website.
As of October 2024, Canadian citizens require a passport valid for the expected duration of your stay in Mexico. Citizens of other countries may require visas.
If your flight plans include a stopover in another country (even if it is just a few hours long), you should also check that country's visa requirements in case you require a transit visa for the stopover.

EDIA and Mexico
As you plan your Summer Abroad journey, it is important to take the steps to decide whether this program is the right fit for you, and fits your individual needs related to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA). Summer Abroad has put together an online webpage for EDIA resources and information in Mexico, which contains information regarding how to navigate Mexico with your unique lived identities, as well as relevant accessibility information.
Health and safety information: all students admitted to the Summer Abroad program are required to successfully complete an online Safety Abroad Workshop, which will provide information and advice on international health and safety issues.
