India (May-June)

Accommodation and Meals

The program will be hosted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai.

Students will stay in double-occupancy hotel rooms at a large hotel in South Mumbai’s Colaba district. The hotel offers a comfortable stay with modern amenities, including a gym and swimming pool. Breakfast is included.

TISS will be providing lunches, tea, snacks, and water on classroom days.

Daily bus transfers from the hotel to the TISS classroom will be arranged. 

 

Entry Requirements

All students are responsible for making sure that their necessary travel documents are in order for them to enter India as visitors. Information on the entry requirements for India is available visiting the Global Affairs Canada website

If your flight plans include a stopover in another country (even if it is just a few hours long), you should also check that country's visa requirements in case you require a transit visa for the stopover.

All students admitted to the Summer Abroad program are required to successfully complete an online Pre-departure Orientation (PDO), which will provide information and advice on international health and safety issues. Students are also strongly encouraged to attend an in-person program specific PDO (Date to be confirmed).

Flight

There is no group flight for this program; students must make their own travel arrangements. However, there will be suggested flight itinerary for this program. Details will be provided at the time of admission.

Please note that if you choose to arrive earlier or leave later than the available dates for the accommodation, you will be responsible for arranging your own living and transporation arrangements.
