We expect original answers from you in your application, including the online interview, and not responses generated by AI or other external sources.

In submitting your Summer Abroad application, you will be asked to confirm that your conduct during the online recorded interview adheres to the University of Toronto Code of Behaviour on Academic Matters and you did NOT act in such a way that would constitute cheating, misrepresentation, or unfairness, including but not limited to, using unauthorized aids and assistance, personating another person, and committing plagiarism.

The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT and other AI applications, is prohibited when creating content for University of Toronto Summer Abroad application.

Students and applicants found to have used generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) to create content that is presented as their own ideas will be disqualified from Summer Abroad admission and award eligibility. This prohibited use of generative AI for content creation will be considered an academic offence.
