Students in the program will stay in double rooms at the Hawksbill Resort, Antigua. The group booking includes a full meal plan - breakfast, lunch, and dinner (alcohol excluded).

Group Flight

No group flight is available for this program; students must make their own travel arrangements. Please note that if you choose to arrive earlier or leave later than the program dates, you will be responsible for arranging your own accommodation for the extra days. The Summer Abroad office will provide recommended flight details to admitted students.

Entry Requirements

All students are responsible for making sure that they have the necessary travel documents to enter the Antigua and Barbuda as visitors. Information on the entry requirements for the Antigua and Barbuda is available by visiting the Global Affairs Canada website. Please note that most governments have implemented special entry and exit restrictions and requirements for their country due to COVID-19.

If your flight plans include a stopover in another country (even if it is just a few hours long), you should also check that country's visa requirements in case you require a transit visa for the stopover.

Information on entry requirements is available from the Immigration Antigua and Barbuda

EDIA and Antigua

As you plan your Summer Abroad journey, it is important to take the steps to decide whether this program is the right fit for you, and fits your individual needs related to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA). Summer Abroad has put together an online webpage for EDIA resources and information in Antigua, which contains information regarding how to navigate Antigua with your unique lived identities, as well as relevant accessibility information.

Health and safety information: all students admitted to the Summer Abroad program are required to successfully complete an online Safety Abroad Workshop, which will provide information and advice on international health and safety issues. Students are also required to attend the online Antigua Pre-departure Orientation in Spring (details shared with students after admission).
