Accommodation, Travel and Safety
Students in the program will stay in double rooms at the Hawksbill Resort, Antigua. The group booking includes a full meal plan - breakfast, lunch, and dinner (alcohol excluded).
Hotel information for the 3-night trip to Trinidad will be provided shortly.
Group Flight
No group flight is available for this program; students must make their own travel arrangements. Please note that if you choose to arrive earlier or leave later than the program dates, you will be responsible for arranging your own accommodation for the extra days. The Summer Abroad office will provide recommended flight details to admitted students.
Entry Requirements
All students are responsible for making sure that they have the necessary travel documents to enter the Antigua and Barbuda as visitors. Information on the entry requirements for the Antigua and Barbuda is available by visiting the Global Affairs Canada website. Please note that most governments have implemented special entry and exit restrictions and requirements for their country due to COVID-19.
If your flight plans include a stopover in another country (even if it is just a few hours long), you should also check that country's visa requirements in case you require a transit visa for the stopover.
Information on entry requirements is available from the Immigration Antigua and Barbuda.
Health and Safety
Visit COVID-19 Update and Planning for more information.
All students admitted to the Summer Abroad program are required to complete an online Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO), which will provide information and advice on international health and safety issues. Students will also be required to attend a PDO specifically for the Antigua program (date to be confirmed).
