Group Flight
There is no group flight for this program; students must make their own travel arrangements. The Summer Abroad Office will provide more information and recommended flights to admitted students.
If you choose to arrive earlier or leave later than the program dates, you will be responsible for arranging your own housing for the extra day(s). Specific dates and some arrangements are subject to confirmation based on availability and scheduling.
Entry Requirements
All students are responsible for ensuring they have the correct travel documents to enter the Netherlands for the duration of the program. Entry requirements may vary depending on your nationality, travel history, and flight itinerary. Requirements can change at any time, so students should verify the latest information well in advance of travel.
Students must consult the Consulate-General of the Netherlands or the official Dutch immigration website to determine whether they require a visitor visa, short-stay visa, or other documentation. The Summer Abroad Office cannot advise on visa eligibility or application procedures.
If you require a short-stay visa to enter the Netherlands, you must apply for it in Canada. The Summer Abroad Office can provide a letter of support only after all program fees have been paid in full, and only for visa applications submitted in Canada. Letters cannot be issued for applications made outside Canada.
If your flight includes a stopover in another country (even for a few hours), check that country’s visa rules to determine if a transit visa is required.
Processing Time: Apply as early as possible and allow sufficient time for visa processing. Some applications may take several weeks.
