2022 Summer Abroad Reunion

50th Anniversary of Summer Abroad

The Summer Abroad program was established in 1972. The program started with a handful of courses in Siena and offered students a unique international learning opportunity. Five decades later, the program continues to flourish with the support of our dedicated instructors, partners and staff who return year after year. Over the 50 years almost 20,000 students have benefitted from rich international experiences designed to enhance their academic studies here at the University of Toronto.

Thank you to our dedicated Summer Abroad instructors, partners and staff over the 50 years!

Join us as we celebrate the 50th anniversary.

Thank You Donors

Since its inception in 1972, the Summer Abroad Program has created wonderful learning experiences for thousands of students. Many donors have seen the many benefits of the program and have generously provided scholarships and bursaries to support the students in what is more often said to be a once in a life-time experience. Some of these individuals are: Dr. Stanley Ho, Drs. Doris & Sam Lau, Dr. Rose Patten, Professor John Browne, Mr. Ed Kress and the Brookfield Bronfman Partners Foundation and Ms Antoinette de Jager.
