Students Spotlight in Mexico

Nate's Bio: Nate is going into his third year and he is studying Philosophy, Sociology, and Gender Studies.

Shaina's Bio: Shaina is a 4th year student majoring in Linguistics and Sociology. In relation to her programs of study; she really enjoys learning new languages, along with how people in society interact while having different ways of doing things. This interest in cultural immersion and global learning is exactly why she chose to take a course part of the Summer Abroad program. 

Nate and Shaina, and our Summer Abroad Assistant, Helen, sparked a meaningful conversation about how taking HMB395Y0 Global Migration and Health – Perspectives from the Field brought upon an emotionally compelling and authentic learning experience in Mexico. Filled with valuable learning lessons and taking away a deep understanding of the subject, the interview truly highlighted the special academic moments of taking the Summer Abroad program in Mexico.
