Complete a UofT credit overseas in 3-6 weeks!

The Summer Abroad programs are designed to enrich students’ academic lives by providing an exciting and educational international experience. Relatively small classes (about 25 students on average) are taught by University of Toronto professors or faculty from the host university. All classes, with the exception of language courses, are taught in English.

Cancellation of Summer Abroad China Programs for 2020

(February 4, 2020) Summer Abroad has decided the programs it offers in China will not run in Summer 2020.  We have been closely monitoring the situation in China and are taking this step because of current travel restrictions related to the coronavirus outbreak.  The Government of Canada is currently advising against all non-essential travel to China.  While circumstances may change by summer, we are making this decision now in order that students who applied to these programs have an opportunity to consider other locations.

The safety of our students while they are abroad is our top priority.  The university will continue to update the community on information about the coronavirus outbreak, including frequently asked questions, through its home page.

We look forward to resuming our Summer Abroad programs in China in 2021.

Summer Abroad in France: A “Tours” of France’s Hinterland

Through Summer Abroad’s France program, students have the opportunity to spend a month learning about Touraine’s history and culture with FCS369 or learning French at the Université de Tours with FSL-Y, in the colourful region known as the garden of France.
