Costs

The deadlines for fees payable to the University of Toronto are as follows:

  • Application fee: March 1, 2022
  • Non-Refundable Deposit of $1,000 due one week after admission notification
  • All remaining fee: April 27, 2022

2022 Costs of Studying in Germany (Domestic Students)

Accommodation $2,100 Based on shared accommodation in the university-arranged apartment. A single room is $2800
Airfare $1,384 Estimate – cost will depend on departure location and purchase date
Meals $650 Estimate – paid on site for purchased and self-prepared meals
Local Transportation $180 Estimate – cost of monthly public transit pass. Paid on site.
Medical Travel Insurance variable Students must provide proof of medical travel insurance
Miscellaneous Expenses variable All students should budget for miscellaneous expense (e.g. travel, gifts, etc.)
Approximate TOTAL Program Cost INCLUDING field trips $8,928 This figure does not include mandatory medical travel insurance

Financial Assistance

Variable. Up to $3,000.
Joint Initiative in German and European Studies (JIGES) Award
Preference for this award is given to students enrolled in a program in German or European Studies on the St. George Campus.

Dora and Al Track Award
The recipient must be a Woodsworth College student with a minimum CGPA of 3.0

Marjorie E. Simonds Travel Award
Students apply by submitting a letter to the summer Abroad office stating how they would benefit from receiving this award. Preference will be given to Woodsworth College students.

Awarded to students studying in any of the programs offered, based on academic merit and quality of their application.
