Student Spotlight in France: Tours

Ivanna’s Bio: Ivanna is a 3rd year University of Toronto (UTSG) student majoring in Mathematics with minors in Statistics and French Studies.

Our Summer Abroad Ambassador, Ivanna, shares highlights from the Tours, France program, specifically FSL322 and FSL420. She reflects on how the experience strengthened her French language skills through immersive learning and allowed her to engage with course material in an authentic cultural setting. Ivanna discusses the academic value of studying abroad while balancing her degree, as well as the opportunity to connect with French history, daily life, and local community in Tours. Beyond academics, she highlights the friendships formed with classmates and the unforgettable experience of living and learning in France.
