Costs

The deadlines for fees payable to the University of Toronto are as follows:

  • Application fee: due February 3, 2020
  • Non-Refundable Deposit of $1,000 due one week after admission notification
  • All remaining fee: due March 13, 2020

2020 Costs of Studying in China (Domestic Students)

U of T Incidental Fees $180 Estimate based on 2019 part-time summer fees
SIRPA Application Fee $80 Paid directly to SIRPA, Fudan University
Field Trip Fees $740 Includes on-site transportation, the flight from Shanghai to Beijing and most entrance fees. Students should budget $55 for some entrance fees and guide/driver tips.
Accommodation $1,500 Based on shared accommodation in hotels in Shanghai and Beijing
Airfare $947 Estimate – cost will depend on departure location and purchase date
Meals $400 Estimate – paid on site
Visa for China $145 Estimate
Medical Travel Insurance variable Students must provide proof of medical travel insurance
Miscellaneous Expenses variable All students should budget for miscellaneous expense (e.g. travel, gifts, etc.)
Approximate TOTAL Program Cost INCLUDING field trips $7,842 This figure does not include mandatory medical travel insurance
